It is a 1.5 hour tour. Each station lasts 15 minutes.
STATION 1 - HAYRIDE FARM TOUR

On their hayride, your group will be "bounced" around our 80-acre farm on a wagon bed covered with straw. Our covered wagons have sides on them to help prevent any one from falling off and offer protection in case of rain. The wagons will be pulled by a tractor driven by the tour guide.

STATION 2 - POT YOUR OWN FLOWERS

All tour participants will be taught how to transplant a flower into their own Post Family Farm souvenir cup. What a beautiful memento of their visit to our farm!

STATION 3 - SNACK TIME

We will provide everyone in your group with one of our delicious homemade donuts and a drink. We should warn you, some schools tell us they come for the donuts alone!

STATION 4 - VISIT WITH FARM ANIMALS

Your group will have a chance to visit with ponies, chicks, goats, sheep, pigs, calves, and our friendly farm kittens and cats. Students will be encouraged to pet the chicks, calves and a pig (if we can catch one!), and to feed the sheep and goats. Students will not be permitted in any of the pens with the animals, at any time. Hand washing facilities are available for your use before and after visiting the animals.

STATION 5 - HOW THINGS GROW II

As a sequel to our Fall production, we have written another little story about Farmer Bill and his farm. What makes this story so impressive is watching your students decorate a story board while your tour guide narrates and directs! Have your camera ready for this fun display.

STATION 6 - STRAW AREA, POST & ROPE MAZE, GIANT TUBE SLIDE, AND TRAIN RIDE

Here students -- and adults -- will be given time to romp in the straw. We have rope swings, jumps and big bales to climb in the straw area. You may meander through the maze and race down our side by side tube slides. For the children, this is their time to ride our Pumpkin or Pig Train. A great farm experience!

Before or after your tour, you and your students are invited to hike through our nature trails, feed the goats and sheep (feed dispensers take quarters) and play in our outdoor children's play area. You are welcome to have lunch ($5.00/class) under our lean-to.
