To make a reservation for your group or if you have any questions, contact us at 616-669-1964 or tours@postfamilyfarm.com.

Spring Tours

Each station lasts 15 minutes. Only one class will be at any station at a time.

Hayride Farm Tour Station

On our hayride, your group will be “bounced” around our 80-acre farm on a wagon bed covered with straw. Our covered wagons are equipped with sides to help prevent anyone from falling off and offer protection in case of rain. The wagons will be pulled by a tractor driven by the tour guide.

Planting Station

All tour participants will be taught how to transplant a flower or plant a Dwarf Sunflower seed into their very own Post Family Farm souvenir cup. What a beautiful memento of their visit to our Farm!

Donut Station

We will provide everyone in your group with one of our delicious homemade donuts and a drink. We should warn you, some schools tell us they come for the donuts alone!

Farm Animals Station

Your group will have a chance to learn about and visit with ponies, chickens, goats, pigs, calves, and our friendly farm kittens and cats. Students will be encouraged to pet the animals, even a pig, if the tour guide can catch one! Guests are not permitted in any of the pens with the animals at any time. Hand washing facilities are available for your use before and after visiting the animals.

Story Station

As a sequel to our fall production, we have written another little story about Farmer Bill and his farm. What makes this story so impressive is watching your students decorate a story board while your tour guide narrates and directs! Have your camera ready for this fun display.

Pumpkin Train Station

Guests of all ages look forward to this station! The children love the Pumpkin Train Ride. Students–and adults–will be given time to race down our side-by-side Giant Tube Slides, meander through the maze, and romp in the straw. We have rope swings, jumps, and big bales to climb. A great farm experience!

Before or after your tour, you and your students are invited to hike through our woods, feed the goats (feed dispensers take quarters) and play in our outdoor children’s play areas. You are welcome to have lunch under our Lean-to ($10/class).

DONUTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO TAKE HOME!

Hayride and Pumpkin Station

(30 minutes)

On our hayride, your group will be “bounced” around our 80-acre farm on a wagon bed covered with straw. All tour participants will have a chance to pick their own small pumpkin right from our patch to take home in a Post Family Farm souvenir produce bag.  Our covered wagons are equipped with sides to help prevent anyone from falling off and offer protection in case of rain. The wagons will be pulled by a tractor driven by the tour guide.

Donut & Cider Station

We will provide all tour participants with one of our delicious homemade Pumpkin Donuts and a cup of award-winning cider from a local orchard. (If you haven’t tried one of our Pumpkin Donuts yet, we should warn you that some schools tell us they come for the donuts alone!)
